Yeah I think a hybrid order format as per personal preferences works best, and ultimately whatever helps you find what you're looking for. I recall spending ages looking for some deal-of-the-week set that I was sure I had purchased already, but couldn't for the life of me find anywhere in my haphazardly thrown together mess. Still a mess but I think I can at least better search within it now and avoid buying the same sets twice
